About Necktie Hangers

Why necktie hangers are important.

Neckties began as cravats as early as the Thirty Years’ War in the early 17th Century. Part of the traditional attire of the Croatian mercenaries in the employ of Louis XIII of France was the wearing of small, knotted neckerchiefs. The Parisians, as fashionable as ever, noticed and began adopting the accessory.  The rest, as the old cliché goes, is history.

Today, most men in the West own at least one necktie, while others have not just several but plenty. Those who really want to look chic have ties of different colors, designs, and styles to match their shirts and coats. If you are one of these, you need to have a special hanger dedicated to neckties.

Looking for a specific necktie in a jumble of other ties, scarves, socks, handkerchiefs, and other accessories can be frustrating. They can easily get tangled with each other that even if you finally find what you need, pulling it out means pulling out the entire pile. This is especially exasperating if you are late for work. With a necktie hanger, you can keep all of your ties in a place of their own, so you do not have to throw out the rest of your clothing looking for a necktie.

When hung neatly, you also keep the neckties clean and neat, instead of crumpled and creased. You can have a freshly ironed shirt and brushed coat but if your tie is all wrinkled, you will still end up looking untidy. Apart from this, hanging the ties also allows them to air out, getting ride of unpleasant smells picked up along the way.

Plenty of necktie hangers are designed to occupy as little a space as possible inside your closet. Many are simply hung on the closet bar thus using only as much space as a hanging shirt. These kinds utilize vertical space having several wire rods arranged in a column. Other necktie hangers are mechanized. Although these occupy a little more space, they can hold more ties and are more convenient to use. Ties are arranged in a carousel which is rotated by a small motor.

Whether you opt for the simple or more elaborate motorized types, necktie hangers are very useful for organizing and keeping your ties neat and free from unsightly creases.
