Necklaces are believed to have been around since the Stone Age. They were probably made of vines, or animal sinew and intestines with bones, teeth, or shells for pendants. Along they way, they evolved into strings with beads or glass, and eventually into metals and gemstones.
Today there are may kinds of necklaces. They come in different materials, colors, designs, styles, sizes, and lengths. There are different necklaces for different occasions, and it is not uncommon for anybody who wants to be stylish and chic to have at least one for each.
While you can store you rings, earrings, and bangles in a jewelry box, keeping necklaces and bracelets in them can be a little problematic. Often, they get so tangled with each other that separating them can feel like untangling the Gordian knot. By the time you get through them, you’re late for work or the party. You don’t want to do what Alexander the Great did with the Gordian knot, do you?
